Wolfsburg have entered talks with Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar regarding a possible move for their star striker Vincent Janssen who is also wanted by West Ham, Manchester United and Tottenham this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, the Bundesliga side have stolen a march on the Premier League trio in the race to sign Janssen.
Janseen netted on his Netherlands debut earlier this season following a stellar campaign in Holland where he scored 27 goals in 34 appearances for Alkmaar.
The Eredivisie side have reportedly slapped a £15m price-tag on his head in order to thwart interest from fellow Dutch sides PSV and Ajax, but their asking price still leaves a move to bigger clubs around Europe a very real possibility.
Wolfsburg’s sporting director Klaus Allofs spoke to German source Kicker and confirmed his side’s interest in Janssen by stating they had held talks to sign him this summer but conceded there is interest in him around Europe.
We have a number of options for the position of striker. We have already held talks with Janssen. But we are not the only team that are interested in signing him.
West Ham have been scouting Janssen in recent months with a view to a possible move which is heavily dependent on whether either Diafra Sakho or Enner Valencia can complete a move away from East London.
