West Ham defender Angelo Ogbonna has seemingly laid to rest any possible talk that he will make a return to Serie A this summer.
The Italian international has enjoyed a great debut season in the Premier League following his £8m move from Juventus last summer, and doesn’t want it to end any time soon.

However, that’s not stopped reports surfacing that some of the top clubs in Italy are looking to bring the former Torino defender back.
Ogbonna was speaking at Italy’s Euro 2016 pres conference yesterday and stated that he’s enjoying playing in the Premier League and he’s not looking for a return to Italian football.
The English league is very good. There the players are chosen on the basis of merit; I have no nostalgia for Serie A.
The 28-year-old’s strong form for the Hammers last season helped guide them into a Europa League place for this coming season as well as a call-up from Antonio Conte to return to the national team set-up. Ogbonna was recently handed his first cap since late 2014.
Roma saw a loan bid rejected this week for the athletic defender the the Hammers reportedly value at around £20m. Manchester United and Manchester City, as well as Conte’s new team Chelsea, have all been credited with interest in the Italian.
