The father of Wolves defender Dominic Iorfa has claimed that reports of his son favouring a move to West Ham this summer are ‘lies’.
According to Yahoo! Sports, a Nigeria-based family source of Iorfa had claimed that if the young right-back was to leave the Midlands-based club this summer that the Hammers would be his preferred move of the reportedly interested clubs – which included Arsenal and Southampton.

The £7m-rated defender has been subject to a number of bids already this summer, and was said to be interested in a move to West Ham because of the likelihood of playing regular first-team football.
However, Dominic Snr. has stated that those claims are wide of the mark, and that his son’s future remains in the hands of club officials at Wolves.
It’s a lie and I wonder where that came from. As a professional footballer, he cannot be selective. Moreover, he is happy at Wolves and has an excellent working relationship with the club
I want my boy to decide for himself and I am very sure he would like to play for Nigeria his father’s country.
What I am after is for him to continue to improve as a football player.
The 20-year-old won Wolves’ Young Player of the Year award for the second season running and made a team-high 46 appearances last term for the club and has established himself as a regular England U21 international.
