Atiba Hutchinson move set to fall through as West Ham haggle over fee

As it stands, West Ham are set to miss out on experienced Besiktas midfielder Atiba Hutchinson as the club refuse to meet Besiktas’ asking price.

It’s claimed by Turkish source Takvim, quoted by InsideFutbol, that the club are looking for a fee in the region of £2m to sell Hutchinson this summer.

Slaven Bilic is familiar with the 33-year-old’s ability having worked closely with him during his time as Besiktas manager, and believes that his experience would be a worthwhile addition to the squad for their upcoming season having allowed Alex Song leave the club.

Hutchinson has just a year to run on his contract with Besiktas, but was a key and important performer for them in Turkey last season, scoring twice and assisting as many times in 43 appearances last term. He also had the best pass-accuracy of any player in the Super Lig last season.

Currently, it appears unlikely that Besiktas will budge on their asking price for Hutchinson, but you have to believe if Bilic really wants to get this deal over the line he’ll stump up the cash to do so.
