West Ham draw up shortlist of three international strikers

West Ham are looking to buy a new striker in the summer and according to a report from Sky Sports, they’ve drawn up a shortlist of three players; Marseille’s Michy Batshuayi, Liverpool’s Christian Benteke and Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette.

The report goes on to say that the Hammers are prepared to break the bank in order to get a new striker in and they are apparently willing to spend up to £40million to get their man.

Batshuayi is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe, with clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur reportedly interested in signing him.

Benteke only moved to Liverpool in the summer, but after Brendan Rodgers was sacked, he’s fallen way down the pecking order as Jurgen Klopp has made it clear with his selections that he rates Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino more than he rates the Belgian.

Lacazette is another big name player who has attracted interest from across Europe and if West Ham could get him, he’d be one of the most exciting new players in the Premier League.
