West Ham striker Nikica Jelavic is set to leave the club and move to China to join second division side Beijing Renhe, as reported by Sky Sports News.
The Croatian joined the club in Septemeber from Championship side Hull City, but he has failed to make a major impact at the Boleyn Ground and has often found himself on the substitute’s bench.
With Andy Carroll, Enner Valencia and new signing Emmanuel Emenike all ahead of Jelavic in the pecking order, the Hammers have decided to let him move on.
A host of stars from across the continent have made moves to China in the past few weeks as the money on offer dwarfs what they were being paid in Europe.
Chelsea midfielder Ramires and Shakhtar Donetsk forward Alex Teixeira, a target of Liverpool, both joined Chinese clubs in the past few weeks, as did Atletico Madrid striker Jackson Martinez.
No fee has been reported at present, but West Ham will be looking to at least get back the £3million they paid for the 30-year-old.
