Arsenal, Aston Villa and West Ham United were just three of the teams who sent scouts to watch a game in Portugal between Paços de Ferreira and Vitória FC.
According to Brad Pinard of London24, Arsenal & West Ham’s scouts were there to have a closer look at Paços de Ferreira youngster Diogo Jota, and it highly likely that Villa’s scouts were watching the same player.
The 19-year-old left winger has been in good form in Portugal’s top flight. He’s made 16 appearances so far this season, scoring five goals and creating a further six.

His performances also earned him a call-up to the Portuguese U21 side in November, and he earned his first U21 cap when he came off the bench during a 3-0 win over Isreal.
It appears that Jota is one of the most sought-after teenagers in Europe, with the likes of Benfica and Barcelona also reportedly interested in signing him.
