West Ham have been dealt another cruel blow with the news that Manuel Lanzini will be out for up to six weeks with a quadriceps injury.
The Argentinian suffered the injury in training as the Hammers prepared for their trip to face Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The 22-year-old has been in fine form for the Hammers this season, and it is no surprise that they want to keep him at the club on a permanent basis. He’s scored four goals in 12 Premier League appearances, including the opener in the recent 1-1 draw at home to Everton and a consolation goal in the 4-1 defeat to Spurs.

Lanzini is the third Hammers player to be ruled out over the busy Christmas period after the losses of both Dmitri Payet and Diafra Sakho.
Furthermore, Victor Moses is set for a scan on his injury today and West Ham fear that he too will miss a large portion of the festive period.
