It appears West Ham won’t be signing AC Milan midfielder Keisuke Honda in January, despite keen interest from the London club.
Honda was understood to be on the Hammers shopping list for the upcoming transfer window, but his Serie A club aren’t willing to let him depart until the summer, say Corriere della Sera.
The Japanese international has only made nine appearances this season at the San Siro, last scoring a league goal over a year ago.

West Ham have also been linked with Brazilian Alexandre Pato, and Bilic was asked about both players in Thursday’s pre-Everton press conference.
We will see in January, but they are just rumours. We have done the majority of the job in August and I’m happy with the team. It doesn’t mean that we’re not, if possible, going to get one or two or offload one or two, but nothing major in terms of numbers.
Honda has, reportedly, held talks with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani about his desire to leave, so despite the stance of his club, any potential may not be dead in the water just yet.
The 29-year-old is contracted until 2017 in Italy, signing 2 years ago from CSKA Moscow.
