- West Ham play Brentford tomorrow at 3PM BST
- Jarrod Bowen got two assist in the win over Everton
- The Hammers are two points above the Premier League relegation zone
West Ham United take on Brentford tomorrow looking to make more ground up in the Premier League survival fight. The Hammers are two points above the relegation zone, but know they cannot stop working as things go down to the wire.
West Ham beat Everton last week to keep Tottenham Hotspur below them in the table. The victory also meant that the Irons went unbeaten in the month of April, where they picked up seven points from two wins and one draw.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team are going from strength-to-strength at just the right time. So much so, the Hammers manager has been nominated for the Premier League’s manager of the month. Also in the award is Jarrod Bowen and Konstantinos Mavropanos for Player of the Month, and it is the former who believes West Ham are becoming a multi-dimensional side.
Jarrod Bowen believes West Ham have threats all over the pitch
Speaking to the club’s official website, the Irons captain believes the team are slowly becoming multi-dimensional, and that opposition should be wary of every player going forward.
“They’ve certainly pulled their finger out and stepped up in a way that they know that they can,” said Bowen. “I think of players like Mateus, who’s been incredible.
“I think of players like Cry, who’s had such a tough time of injuries, but to come back from those injuries that he’s had and be a big game player and change games for us, win games for us, it says a lot about him as well, about his mentality. He has felt like a new signing because of the injury and how long he was out for.
“Dinos, I remember I did an interview while I was away with England and someone asked me who the most underrated player is here and I said it was Dinos. I remember at the time, people didn’t agree with me, and certainly now, people are seeing Dinos and I’ve just run out of words for him and for what he’s doing. He’s scoring goals, he’s stepping up with the way he’s defended.
“So, lots of players have stepped up and you need that. You need threats all over the pitch.
“It can’t just be one person who can decide a game. If someone’s having not their best game, someone else can step up and that’s the threats that you need. You need threats all over the pitch to decide games and I certainly think that we’ve had that.”
