West Ham United host AFC Bournemouth as Nuno Espirito Santo’s team look to continue their Premier League form. The Hammers have won three of their last five Premier League games, bringing the gap to safety down to just three points.
Above West Ham, Nottingham Forest are without a win in their last three and have recently replaced Sean Dyche with Vitor Pereira. Forest play Liverpool on Sunday so the Hammers need to see this fixture as a huge opportunity to close the gap. Nuno’s team created a serious atmosphere against Manchester United over a week ago, start on the front foot and he will hope to recreate that.
Crysencio Summerville continued his goalscoring form at Burton Albion in the FA Cup at the weekend. The Dutchman will need another strong day, alongside frontman Taty Castellanos, who scored his first West Ham goal this month, to get a result against high scoring Bournemouth.
Andoni Iraeola’s AFC Bournemouth have made a habit of finding the net more often than not. Whilst the Cherries are unlikely to reach their goals this season, they remain a threat to any team.
Bournemouth are in fine form in 2026 and still chasing that European place. They head to London on the back of five unbeaten Premier League games, thinking exactly the same as West Ham, that a result is there for the taking.

Prediction
Here, a handful of our writers give their prediction for the game…
Matt Bottomley
“West Ham were minutes away from heading into this game level on points with Nottingham Forest. Regardless, the Manchester United result, combined with staying in the FA Cup has kept the unbeaten run going, the Hammers look a different team to the one that finished 2025.
“Nuno will be buying into the spirit of his team. Bournemouth head to London in form, but West Ham have to take this opportunity. Points are a minimum, and with the Hammers defensive record, this one might be a shootout.
“Not one to be too pessimistic, I think there’s a draw in this game and that’s what I’m taking in a result that keeps West Ham on their unbeaten run.”
Prediction: West Ham United 2-2 AFC Bournemouth
