West Ham are reportedly in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Marseille central defender Duje Caleta-Car.
The Hammers have been extensively linked with the 25-year-old throughout the January transfer window and could make one final attempt to get the deal across the line.
Irons’ boss David Moyes was expected to prioritise a centre-back signing having recently lost both Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna for extended periods.
According to journalist Ekrem KONUR on Twitter, Caleta-Car could still be the man to add additional support.

Various reports have suggested that the 20-cap Croatia international could be targetted for a loan move.
This season Caleta-Car has earned an impressive 7.15 average Sofascore rating in 11 Ligue 1 outings.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Valued at £14.4million and under contract in France until 2023 (Transfermarkt), signing the Croatian should be an imminently possible mission for the Hammers – even so late in the window.
Vastly experienced and strong in the air, Caleta-Car would be the ideal man to slot immediately into Moyes’ side without the need for a prolonged integration period.
As reports continue to link Newcastle United with a late move for Issa Diop before the deadline passes, West Ham may need at least one defender through the arrivals door at the London Stadium.
