West Ham have reportedly ‘entered race to sign’ Everton left-back Lucas Digne this month.
The 28-year-old is on the radar of both Chelsea and Newcastle United having seemingly fallen out of favour at Goodison Park.
Now, the Irons’ are said to have joined the pursuit for the Frenchman with mooted £100,000 a week wages a suggested stumbling block.
That’s according to a report from the Daily Mail, as cited by Transfer News Live on Twitter.

The report claims that the Hammers are ‘continuing discussions’ and will ‘enter talks’ to sign the 43-cap France ace.
This season Digne has scored once in 15 appearances across all competitions – earning a 6.92 Sofascore rating in 13 Premier League outings.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Valued at £27million and under contract on Merseyside until 2025 (Transfermarkt), signing the former Barcelona man for the suggested £30million fee would be regarded as smart business.
However, only four years younger than Aaron Cresswell and at present being comfortably outperformed by the Iron, spending big on Digne mightn’t be the wisest move.
Instead, David Moyes should be looking for a younger option who can ably cover in the short term and act as a long term successor.
