West Ham are reportedly ‘monitoring’ Hellas Verona attacking midfielder Antonin Barak.
The 26-year-old is also on the radar of mega-rich Newcastle United, although at present the Magpies don’t have a manager in situ.
Signed from fellow Serie A side Udinese this year following a successful loan spell, Barak has made a strong start to the 2021/22 campaign.
According to a report from Italian newspaper L’Arena (via TuttoHellasVerona), as cited on Twitter, West Ham are keen on the Czech Republic international.
The report adds that Newcastle are the frontrunners for the 26-times capped ace who is a teammate of Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek at the international level.
So far this season the former Slavia Prague man has scored four times and provided one assist in 11 league outings.

Although David Moyes is somewhat blessed in the midfield department, a majority of the options are defensive-minded.
Boasting an impressive career goal contribution tally across spells with a plethora of clubs, the versatile Czech ace would add a new dimension to the Hammers’ midfield.
Valued at £12.6million (Transfermarkt), paying the mooted £25million fee for Barak would be a worthwhile expenditure.
