West Ham have reportedly made a move for Udinese defender Jens Stryger Larsen

The 30-year-old had been expected to complete a move to Turkish giants Galatasary but that switch could now be off the cards.

Stryger Larsen impressed for Denmark during the recent European Championships and could be the man to strengthen David Moyes’ squad at the London Stadium.

This is according to a report from Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, as cited by Sport Witness on Twitter.

The report claims that the Irons could ‘overtake’ all potential suitors to land the 42 times capped ace.

Stryger Larsen made 33 appearances for Udinese in Serie A last season earning an average Sofascore rating of 6.63 in the process.

Valued at £3.6million (Transfermarkt), the versatile Danish defender has entered the final 12 months of a deal in Italy and could be available at a bargain fee.

Predominantly a right-back, Styger Larsen is also capable of playing in numerous defensive positions and could therefore likely act as backup for both Vladimir Coufal and Aaron Cresswell.

A vastly experienced operator with 368 senior domestic appearances, the Dane would be a worthwhile acquisition in east London.
