West Ham have been dealt the strongest hint yet that Slavia Praha are open to selling Abdallah Sima to an interested suitor.
With Michail Antonio as the squad’s sole senior striker, the need for a fresh striker coming into the club in the summer looks to be a certain item at the top of West Ham’s agenda.
According to a report from the Mirror (08/01/2021, page 61), the 19-year-old Slavia Prague striker is the Hammers’ number one centre-forward target and has consistently been linked with a switch to the Premier League.
The Senegalese striker looks to be outgrowing the Czech league with 11 goals and 4 assists in just 15 games.
Allaying any doubts that he might struggle in a new league, he also has a decent record of continental success too.
Sima has managed four goals and an assist in 8 Europa League appearances and even scored against Premier League side Leicester to seal their exit from the competition.
West Ham insider source ExWHUemployee has shared what Slavia Praha president Jaroslav Tvrdik revealed about teenage target Abdallah Sima, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night (03/03/2021):
“Sima from Slavia Prague, he is a target but nowhere near the fee that has been recently quoted.
“I have spoken to Slavia Prague president Jaroslav Tvrdik quite frequently. He has said that he is forever talking to West Ham fans about buying his players.
“He said that in the summer, they might entertain bids.”

Confirmation of an openness to a sale is a significant development in the Hammers’ hunt for European glory.
It seems lines of communication with fans is another strong connection between the clubs, which could help to place the Irons front-and-centre in Slavia’s thinking.
