Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has been named as one of three strikers West Ham could target this summer as David Moyes looks to strengthen his centre-forward options.

As reported by the Daily Star, the Hammers have compiled a three-man striker shortlist of Chelsea ace Tammy Abraham and Brentford goal scoring supremo Ivan Toney as well as Nketiah.

Moyes currently only has Michail Antonio as an experienced frontman having sold Sebastien Haller in January, leaving room for at least one established striker.

The 21-year-old England Under 21 star is under contract at the Emirates until 2022 and manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly willing to allow the youngster to leave.

Moyes knows Nketiah’s threat all too well as in his 14 Premier League appearances this term, the ‘extraordinary’ youngster has only managed to score against the Irons.

Signing Nketiah would certainly appeal to the Hammers given his scope to develop into a first-class Premier League operator.

Valued at £18m by Transfermarkt and with a contract entering its final 12 months this summer, the likelihood is the Hammers would be able to land the youngster at a reduced cost which could ultimately prove a bargain.

Having shone at youth level for both club and country, transferring that form to senior performances hasn’t proved to be straight forward. But with nurturing and time to learn from the likes of Antonio, the Irons could be signing a player with a huge future.
