Moyes’ men make the trip to Merseyside for West Ham’s first taste of football in 2021 as they look to claim all three points against Carlo Ancelotti’s in-form Everton.
The Toffees have made a major turnaround in form with commanding back-to-back wins over the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester and Sheffield United – with Everton sitting in a Champions League place.
The Hammers themselves are in serious contention for a European spot as they sit in tenth place. Despite being six places behind a Champions League spot, they are separated by a mere three points from fifth-placed Aston Villa.
However, Moyes’ side will undoubtedly be looking to bounce back to winning ways having failed to record a victory their previous four league clashes.
Both sides will know that even heading into the new year, the point separation between teams is incredibly tight.
Even the most marginal of victories or defeats can make the difference between a handful of league positions, meaning that every win could make the difference between European spots or mid-table mediocrity.
In terms of injuries, West Ham may no longer remain faithful in Sebastien Haller while Michail Antonio enters the final stages of his recovery from injury.
Antonio came on as a substitute in the goalless stalemate with Southampton, meaning he could start for the Hammers.
Left wing-back Arthur Masuaku remains out having undergone knee surgery, whilst rotation is likely to be a dominant theme of the squad to face Everton.
Players rested against the Saints could be redeployed for the Everton clash.
As a result, here is Read West Ham’s predicted line-up to face Carlo Ancelotti’s high-flying Toffees…
