This is the third bid that Thee Hammers have made for the England international, but they’ll need to make a fourth if they are to secure a deal for the 27-year-old.
David Moyes has made it publically known that he’s looking to make signings to improve his defence and it’s clear that Tarkowski is West Ham’s number one target, but it remains to be seen if they’re willing to make an increased offter in order to force Burnley’s hand.

Given how many goals they conceded last season, and how open they looked in the opening game of the season against Newcastle, it’s easy to see why West Ham are in the market for a new central defender.
Tarkowski has been a very good player for Burnely and his performances at club level led to him earning two England caps. However, it’s questionable if he’s worth more than the £31m that West Ham have offered.
At some point, West Ham might need to focus on another player as the need for getting in a centre-back as soon as possible is glaringly obvious.
