West Ham United manager David Moyes is eager to build a young and hungry team, admitting that he would like to only sign players that are 25-years-old or under (Claret and Hugh).
The club also boasts a very impressive U23 side, who are currently top of the Premier League 2 Division 2 table.
The young Hammers are undefeated in the league so far this term and could go on to have bright futures.
Taking that and potential transfers into account, we’ve predicted how the Hammers could line up in 2025.
GOALKEEPER
Goalkeeper Joseph Anang has been a standout performer for the reserves this season and is reportedly going to be promoted into the senior squad next season, so we feel he could have the number one position by then.
DEFENCE
Jeremy Ngakia won’t be shifted from his right-back spot, whilst if the Hammers can fend off interest in Issa Diop, then he’ll certainly still be a starter.
Partnering him could be Aji Alese, who is a powerful defender and outshone Reece Oxford many times during their time together in the Hammers academy.
Norwich City defender Jamal Lewis is a player that fans revealed they want at the club and if he were to join the Hammers, he could nail down the starting left-back position for many years.
MIDFIELD
Declan Rice has a long-term deal with the Hammers and we feel he could be the one to lead the team forward, so if the club can keep hold of him, he’ll certainly be in the team and potentially the captain too.
Alongside him, we might see Tomas Soucek, who could make a permanent move to the Hammers at the end of this season.
Completing the three-man midfield might be Emiliano Buendia, who has been linked with a move to London in recent weeks.
ATTACK
Operating on the left flank could be Grady Diangana, who is scheduled to return from his loan with West Brom this summer.
January arrival Jarrod Bowen should be on the right-wing as he’s young and signed a long-term deal, leaving academy star Xande Silva to lead the line as the club’s striker.
