Manuel Lanzini is enduring a torrid season so far and many of the club’s fans clearly miss the old version of the Argentine.
The club’s official Twitter account posted a video of Lanzini’s goal against Chelsea four years ago and that has resulted in many fans providing their reactions.
Lanzini curled the ball into the top right corner from outside the 18-yard box to help the Hammers secure a 2-2 draw against their London rivals back in 2016 (BBC Sport).
However, this season, Lanzini has been a shadow of his former self.
The playmaker is yet to score a goal in any competition for the Hammers this term and has only provided three assists (Transfermarkt).
His poor form has led to many fans criticising him and also some feeling that the club should sell him this summer.
However, the video of his goal has reminded many fans of his quality and they have revealed on Twitter that they miss the old version of the playmaker.
