Following a loan spell, Manuel Lanzini joined West Ham on a permanent deal back in 2016 but if a certain section of the club’s fanbase gets their wish, then the Argentine will be leaving the London Stadium in the summer of 2020.
The 27-year-old, who is earning a salary of £70,000-a-week, has found himself on the bench for West Ham’s previous three league matches, with David Moyes deciding to use his other attacking options as he looks to save the club from relegation.
Lanzini has played 129 times for West Ham since his arrival, and he did miss a significant amount of time with a serious knee injury that he picked up whilst he was away on international duty before the 2018 World Cup.
Whilst one West Ham supporter, twitter user @WHUFC_News_6, said that he would hold onto the player if he was in charge at the London Stadium, plenty of others seem keen to let the Argentinian leave.
Have to sell him. Waste of wages now. We have no time to wait. He's had enough time, albeit with injuries
