OPPOSITION DANGERMAN: Manchester City (A)

After winning only ten points in the Premier League during David Moyes’ reign, West Ham United face another very tough test in their fight for survival as their tough run of fixtures continues.

The Hammers travel north to face the Premier League title holders Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on a Wednesday evening, hoping to go back to London with at least one point before their fixture against currnt league leaders Liverpool at Anfield.

Their chances might’ve been boosted by the fitness of key players Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko, who could be available for selection.

On the other hand, Man City will have to do without Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, Aymeric Laporte and the suspended Oleksandr Zinchenko, with Benjamin Mendy also a doubt.

Despite that, one crucial player will be available to play, and it’s the player who we think will be Pep Guardiola’s danger man.

KEVIN DE BRUYNE

The Belgian midfielder has been on the top of his game since the start of the season, scoring seven goals and registering 15 assists and the possibility of him breaking Thierry Henry’s record for the most assists in a single Premier League season (20) looks more and more likely.

The Hammers will have to do a much much better job than the one they did two weeks ago when they couldn’t hold on to a 3-1 lead against Brigthon & Hove Albion

Moyes will have to motivate his team to keep full concentration throughout the entire game as a team of Manchester City’s calibre will most likely punish even the most minuscule of mistakes, and if they give De Bruyne even half a yard of space in an attacking area, he is more than capable of producing a goal for the home side.
