West Ham find themselves in the bottom three after being held to a 3-3 draw by Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday.
David Moyes handed a debut to midfielder Soucek and saw his side go 2-0 up thanks to goals from Issa Diop and Robert Snodgrass.
Angelo Ogbonna then scored an own-goal in the 47th minute, leading to a period of pressure on the West Ham goal. However, they responded well and Snodgrass made it 3-1 10 minutes later.
Brighton then produced a stunning comeback as they scored twice in four minutes to secure a point at the London Stadium. Pascal Gross made it 3-2, before substitute Glenn Murray scored – with VAR giving the goal after it was initially ruled out.
The Hammers are now one point behind 17th-placed Aston Villa in the Premier League table with 13 matches left to play.
