According to club insider ExWHUEmployee, West Ham United are eyeing Newcastle United duo Jonjo Shelvey and Isaac Hayden.
The Hammers are looking to strengthen David Moyes’ midfield options this month and have already been linked with an array of names.
Benfica’s Gedson Fernandes, Genk’s Sander Berge and Stoke City’s Joe Allen are three ever-present targets.
Speaking on the West Ham Way podcast though, ExWHUEmployee explained that although no bids have been submitted, West Ham are eyeing the pair from their Premier League rivals:
Hayden of Newcastle and Jonjo Shelvey are still on the radar, but no bids officially.

The good news is West Ham are definitely looking to bolster the midfield this month, but there doesn’t seem to be a clear first-choice target in mind.
Those names mentioned above are all attainable options, but it’s just a case of whether the club shows the desire to go out and get them.
We believe that Hayden and Shelvey would both strengthen the current midfield, as well as the other three mentioned names.
The Hammers are low on options, with Declan Rice the only established holding midfield choice Moyes has, so you can certainly expect activity. It’s just a question of who will ultimately be pursued.
