West Ham have seen an undisclosed bid for Middlesbrough goalkeeper Darren Randolph rejected, according to Sky Sports.
It is reported that new manager David Moyes is desperate to sign a new keeper to provide cover, but also competition for first-choice keeper Lucasz Fabianski, especially with question marks over the capability of current back up keepers Roberto and David Martin.
Randolph did spend two years at the London Stadium, where he made 28 appearances for the Hammers, before leaving in the summer of 2017 to sign for Championship side Middlesbrough.
It is not clear as to whether or not West Ham will return with a second bid for the Republic of Ireland international, with the London side also weighing up other options.

This would be a good signing for West Ham overall. Randolph will provide good competition for Fabianski, and shouldn’t cost the Hammers too much.
He already knows the club well from his first spell and would fit in with the current squad, compared to other candidates that have been linked.
The 32-year-old has many years of club and international experience under his belt and has proved that he can still perform at Premier League level.
