Today marks the start of the David Moyes era at West Ham United but some fans are already sharing their discontent.
January is a big month for the Hammers, who will have the chance to bolster their ranks ahead of an unexpected fight for Premier League survival.
A midfielder is deemed as a priority but one of Moyes’ main targets, according to Guardian reporter Jacob Steinberg, has left plenty concerned…

READ WEST HAM VERDICT
In my opinion, Joe Allen is in his prime years and realistically, West Ham need to bring in whoever they can to strengthen the midfield.
Both Carlos Sanchez and Jack Wilshere look done at the club, whilst captain Mark Noble isn’t getting any younger and has hit a poor patch of form.
Declan Rice is an exciting prospect but he needs help and signing a top-quality midfield partner would start 2020 in the perfect light.
I don’t agree with the negative energy towards Allen. They are more attractive options, yes, but it’d be a good signing.
