After falling even more down the league table after a 3-1 loss against Arsenal, West Ham United will have a tough job to do if they want to turn their season around as they travel south to face Southampton.
The Saints are currently, unlike the Hammers, on good form as they have lost only one out of their previous four games including a 2-2 draw with Arsenal.
And Southampton’s streak has been massively influenced by a player who we think will be the dangerman on Saturday…

Danny Ings
After arriving from Liverpool on a permanent deal worth £20m following a good loan spell, Ings has been a massive success at St. Mary’s.
The 27-year-old has already scored nine Premier League goals and 11 in all competitions and he is showing no signs of stopping. He’s currently on five consecutive games with a goal.
And although the Saints have been struggling to find their place outside the relegation zone following a horrendous start to the season, Ings’ terrific form will certainly be key in their survival.
A win over West Ham will take them above the Hammers in the table, potentially making the visitors replace them in the bottom three which would ultimately mean the end of Manuel Pellegrini’s reign at the London Stadium.
