West Ham have recently been linked with a new year swoop for Genk striker Mbwana Samatta, and it appears as if a move would be welcomed by plenty of Hammers supporters.
The 26-year-old recently struck at Anfield in the 2-1 Champions League defeat to Jurgen Klopp’s side, and his display appears to have caught the eye of West Ham officials.

Samatta reportedly has a release clause set at £10 million, and with Manuel Pellegrini currently short of attacking options, the move appears realistic and could gather pace in the coming months.
@ExWHUemployee shared the news on social media regarding the Hammers’ interest, and plenty of supporters urged the club to make their move.

The Tanzania captain is playing European football, however, he may view a move to the Premier League as one he can’t turn down.
He’s quick, good in the air and has been a prolific goalscorer in Belgium for his current employers.
Current first-choice Sebastien Haller striker has struggled of late and Albian Ajeti isn’t fancied by Pellegrini, so Samatta’s arrival could be a shrewd one, and it looks as if a deal would be welcomed by a large section of supporters.
