Things are looking bleak at West Ham.
Winless since September, sliding down the table, players inconsistent, questions over the manager and his tactics. The last 2 or 3 games have been must-win, yet the Hammers have managed just a single point out of them.
Saturday sees West Ham face a difficult visit to Turf Moor, where they face a solid Burnley side who turned over the Hammers last season in the same fixture.
Whilst a point away from home at a tough ground may be a decent result, three points is a must to keep fans back onside with both the team and the manager.
Fans have also been calling for a change in formation, moving away from Pellegrini’s preferred 4-1-4-1 to something that plays 2 up top, adapting to Haller’s success at Frankfurt having a strike partner to play off.
Recent transfer speculation has suggested that Pellegrini may be looking for another striker, and so we could see more of a 4-2-2-2 or a 3-5-2 on Saturday.
