West Ham United are interested in signing Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window, according to a report on Football Insider.
The Frenchman is finding it difficult to get enough playing time for the Blues due to the great form of Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi.

Hammers’ boss Manuel Pellegrini is desperate to strengthen his attacking department in January and Giroud is understood to be high on his transfer list.
The 33-year-old has been prolific ever since he moved to the Premier League from Ligue 1 and has netted 78 times in the top flight.
Would Giroud help West Ham?
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Absolutely. With Sebastien Haller’s form being inconsistent so far this season, Giroud is a player who can get a goal from anything, even when he isn’t having the best of games.
There’s a reason he’s still the main forward for World Champions France, and that is his finishing instincts inside the box.
He needs game time ahead of Euro 2020 and that is something that Pellegrini can offer him. Whether it’s a half-season loan or a permanent deal, signing Giroud will definitely strengthen the Hammers.
