West Ham United continue their Premier League campaign with a visit from Premier League new-boys Sheffield United.
Potentailly dubbed as the Tevez derby, West Ham meet Sheffield United for the first time since the saga unravelled in 2006, and although bad blood may have settled since, this is a vital match for both teams.
West Ham are looking for a result to turn the tide of their woeful form that may be revealing the cracks in the squad. The lack of a box-to-box midfielder to support both Rice and the attacking phase of play, plus injuries and inconsistency to creative players leaving Haller isolated sees the Hammers stuck in a rut.
Meanwhile, West Ham see Wilder’s United playing a free-flowing, expansive style of football, with the recent Arsenal game showing huge emphasis on this.
Pellegrini’s 4-1-4-1 seems to be stagnating with this team and fans are calling to revert to either a 4-4-2 to provide Haller with a strike partner or a 4-2-3-1. For this lineup, I’ll use the latter.
Here is the predicted XI I bleieve Manuel Pellegrini will select for the visit from Sheffield United.
