After a poor showing two weeks ago against Crystal Palace, there was a lot of promise in the buildup to the game as West Ham United were aiming for three points against Everton, who were on a four-game losing streak.
But it quickly turned sour as Bernard opened the scoring in the first half, with the Hammers left on the back-foot for the majority of the game before Gylfi Sigurdsson set the game’s scoreline with a cracking strike from 20-yards-out.
And many West Ham fans were left disappointed with the result, following a very poor performance from Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

READ WEST HAM’S VERDICT
Not a performance to be proud of.
Hammers lacked the edge and were constantly second-best all over the pitch, which is quite worrying considering how good of a team Everton are, despite being on a bad run of games prior to Saturday.
Next up, Sheffield United and Newcastle. And to keep themselves within touching distance of the top six, West Ham absolutely have to win both.
