West Ham United skipper reels in a whopper

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice may have to think twice the next time he’s asked to attend an event after falling victim to a superb prank by teammate Mark Noble.

The 20-year-old was invited to a FIFA 20 photoshoot alongside full-back Ryan Fredericks, but it’s fair to say that things didn’t pan out quite as he expected.

The Hammers captain had secretly teamed up with Betway to set-up an intricate hoax that left Rice thinking his Range Rover was about to be towed away.

A fake parking enforcement officer was enlisted to help with the ruse by sticking up ‘illegal parking’ signs around the car park where Rice had left his vehicle.

When Rice came out of the building, he was greeted by the sight of a clamp on one his vehicle’s wheels and a less than sympathetic ‘parking officer’.

Spurred on by instructions from Noble via a hidden earpiece, the officer proceeded to engage Rice in an increasingly bizarre verbal exchange.

Despite thinking his vehicle was about to be removed, the midfielder just about managed to keep his cool as the officer continued to push his buttons.

The arrival of a tow truck fanned the flames even further, but Noble revealed himself just in time to prevent Rice from completely blowing his top.

After falling hook, line and sinker for Noble’s prank, Rice will undoubtedly be spending the next few weeks plotting how he can get his own back!
