Robert Snodgrass has come in for plenty of criticism from a section of Scotland supporters following his display in the 4-0 defeat to Russia on Thursday.
The 32-year-old played the whole 90 minutes as Steve Clarke’s side conceded four goals in 27 second-half minutes in Moscow to end all hope of automatic Euro 2020 qualification.

The Hammers man turned out alongside Aston Villa’s John McGinn and Sheffield United’s John Fleck in midfield but could do nothing to stop the hosts running riot.
And during the game, Snodgrass was the hot topic amongst these Scotland supporters, who were quick to vent their frustrations towards the midfielder on social media.
Twitter: snodgrass showing how u can have limited ability and still get paid a fortune in england. (@snidey_bhoy)
Twitter: Snodgrass and Mulgrew are finished (@caithnesshibee)
Twitter: How on earth does snodgrass still get a call up. He’s brutal (@lewisssharp)
Twitter: Other than Oli Burke, is there a more overrated player than Robert Snodgrass? (@TremendoHendo72)
Read West Ham verdict
The experienced midfielder has been in and out of the West Ham side this season, and that, unfortunately, told on Thursday.
Snodgrass enjoyed a fairly productive campaign last year, however, he’s been unable to bring that form into the current season for both club and country.
He’s under contract until the end of the season and the Hammers will then decide whether or not to extend that deal until 2022. However, if he continues to perform as he did in the week, he could be packing his bags at the London Stadium at the end of the season.
