Lukasz Fabianski has successfully undergone surgery, and is expected to be out until early 2020.
The Poland international pulled up after taking a goal kick against Bournemouth in the Premier League at the end of September, and had to be subbed off for summer signing Roberto in the first-half.
The former Arsenal and Swansea man underwent hip surgery on Saturday morning, with Hammers co-owner David Gold confirming on Twitter that everything went well.
Since signing for the club in the summer of 2018, Fabianski has proved to be an astute addition to Manuel Pellegrini’s squad.

The 34-year old was immediately installed as first choice between the sticks after his £7million arrival from Swansea, and his performances over the course of the season earned him the Hammer of the Year award.
Both West Ham and fans alike will be hoping that the shot-stopper can return to action as soon as possible.
Many Hammers fans took to social media to express their delight at Fabianski’s surgery success, wishing him a strong and speedy recovery.

Lukasz Fabianski is one of the most underrated Premier League goalkeepers, and his absence will be a huge loss for the Hammers for sure.
As a neutral I don’t know a lot about Roberto, but he will certainly face a tough task to fill Fabianski’s gloves until he returns in the new year.
Having made his full Premier League against Crystal Palace last weekend, Roberto will face an Everton side after the international break who will be determined to break their four-game losing streak in the league.
