Plenty of Liverpool fans are enjoying reminding those of West Ham United about a horrendous prediction about Adrian’s move to Merseyside.
The Spaniard joined Liverpool following his summer release from the Hammers and has played in every game so far this season due to an injury Alisson suffered on the opening night against Norwich City.
When he moved to Anfield though, popular West Ham fan account @WestHam_Central ‘predicted’ an Alisson injury would result in relegation – implying Adrian wasn’t good enough.
The Reds have won eight out of eight to kick-start the Premier League campaign though, and supporters aren’t letting Hammers fans forget about it…

Read West Ham’s verdict
In fairness to Adrian, he’s been excellent for Jurgen Klopp’s side after being called upon much more frequently than he would’ve imagined when signing.
He was a fan favourite at the London Stadium but his form tailed off as the end of his tenure neared, with Lukasz Fabianski eventually surpassing him as no. 1.
It’s great to see him succeed though, and it’s a shame he didn’t fancy sticking around as Fabianski’s back-up.
