After losing only one of their previous seven games, West Ham United were clear favourites to come away with a win from their Saturday’s game against Crystal Palace.
Sebastien Haller opened the scoring but Patrick Van Aanholt, who was voted the game’s Man Of The Match, cancelled the Frenchman’s opener before Andre Ayew set the London derby’s final scoreline with a late goal which was ruled out for offside at first, but VAR stepped in and overruled the decision to hand the Eagles the what was a winner.
And after their team’s unbeaten run ended, Hammers fans had a lot to say about their team’s performance.

Although the result is nothing to be proud of, it shouldn’t be a reason to overreact just yet.
First loss out of the previous seven league games is still a very good result, definitely a one to be proud of as it shows Manuel Pellegrini’s intent to bring the club to the infamous “next level”.
The most important thing for the Hammers is to keep the faith in the club going and for the players to keep their confidence up when coming into the game against highly unperforming and Seamus Coleman-less Everton.
