It is the battle of East versus South London as West Ham host Crystal Palace at the London Stadium. Historically, West Ham have performed well over recent years, producing a number of high-class goals and performances.
Crystal Palace’s good performances this season comes off the back of keeping Wilfred Zaha at the club. Whilst he looked out of sorts in his first few games, his performance against Norwich City showed he is back to his best.
West Ham continued to show their array of talent last Saturday with standout performances from Andriy Yarmolenko and Sebastian Haller. Manuel Pellegrini has the team well-drilled in his philosophy and the team have rewarded him with consistency.
A huge blow for West Ham will be the loss of Lukasz Fabianski with the Club confirming this week that he’ll be missing for for two to three months.
The Hammers will now look to Roberto to fill the void. Against Bournemouth, he looked nervous amidst the boos from the travelling fans but regained his composure in the second half.
With both teams in good form, this promises to be an entertaining fixture. These are my key battles for West Ham vs Crystal Palace.
