West Ham United continue their Premier League campaign with a tricky away visit to AFC Bournemouth this weekend.
A mixed week to be a Hammer, that’s for sure. With a 2-0 victory at home to Manchester United, the Hammers’ are sitting pretty in fifth in the Premier League table, giving fans optimism for the season.
However, in true West Ham fashion, a 4-0 thrashing away to Oxford United in the Carabao Cup brought the optimism back down to earth.
Pellegrini has publically stated that the team has let him down, and so he should be expecting a big performance on Saturday to rectify his faith in some of the players.
Furthermore, a result against Bournemouth should begin to make up for that shocking performance on Wednesday night, whereas a defeat could spark panic.
Saturday will be no easy fixture, especially against an in-form Bournemouth side where both teams will be looking to consolidate their top six standing.
