After a disappointing result on Wednesday night, West Ham will look to bounce back against Bournemouth.
The Cherries also suffered an embarrassing defeat to lower league opposition, despite playing some of their first team.
In the league, West Ham have enjoyed relative success. A number of clean sheets and high-scoring games saw them move up to fourth in the league, before the rest of the league finished their games.
Manuel Pellegrini has presided over a team that has looked more consistent in their performances.
West Ham, despite looking weak at the back last season, have found form with Angelo Ogbonna and Issa Diop whilst the addition of Aaron Cresswell on Sunday has given the manager plenty to think about ahead of Saturday’s fixture.
Bournemouth ran out convincing winners last Friday, defeating Southampton 3-1 at St. Marys for the first time in the Premier League.
They were predictably high-paced and offensive and, against a team who like to press high, they found joy with Callum and Harry Wilson.
Bournemouth, like West Ham, have enjoyed a great start to the season. Callum Wilson is still their dangerman and, although having a bad injury record, has remained fit to kick start their campaign.
Harry Wilson has also been a good signing from Liverpool. He’s not just a free-kick specialist but is composed in front of goal and enables Bournemouth to develop their build-up play with pace.
