West Ham United’s first season under Manuel Pellegrini was as average as campaigns come.
A 10th-place finish in the Premier League, as well as dropping out of the Carabao Cup to Tottenham Hotspur wasn’t exactly an outrage.
The only disappointment, you could say, was the FA Cup humiliation at AFC Wimbledon, but things are certainly looking much brighter nowadays.
Pellegrini’s side are currently on a three-match win streak with seven points from their opening four league games, which has only helped optimism.
