It looks like West Ham United supporters have been let in on the secret to Michail Antonio’s boredom whilst recovering from injury – watching videos of people trying to play football on ice.
Antonio will be out of action for a few months following a nasty hamstring tear suffered in the Carabao Cup Second Round win at Newport County.
The 29-year-old took to social media on Tuesday afternoon to share an amusing video with his followers, but he probably should’ve expected the bombardment of replies all around the same topic.
Plenty of West Ham fans also saw the funny side and took the opportunity to make several digs at Antonio’s waning fitness…

Read West Ham’s verdict
Injuries haven’t exactly been a rarity for Antonio in recent years, but he remains a popular figure amongst West Ham supporters and started the 2019-20 campaign off well.
The right-back-turned-forward continues to be a key part of Manuel Pellegrini’s plans at the London Stadium despite the influx of top-quality attacking talent during his tenure so far.
I certainly won’t be the only one hoping he returns in time to end what promises to be a good season for the Hammers in the same style he started it.
