Some West Ham United fans have had a surprising reaction to speculation of Chelsea and Manchester United’s firm interest in signing Declan Rice in the near future.
Popular Hammers fan Twitter page @ExWHUEmployee has suggested both clubs are expected to bid for the 20-year-old, which has sparked plenty of debate in the comments.
There was a surprising amount of fans willing to let Rice leave, albeit under one pricey condition…

Rice is obviously one of the most exciting prospects to come out of the West Ham academy in recent history but in my eyes, every player has a price.
If £90m is the price being quoted for Rice, you’d have to take that and run if you’re West Ham, even if you’re in such a healthy financial state as they are.
At the end of the day though, this is all speculation and Rice currently seems intent on spending his long-term future at the London Stadium.
