As the first international break of the season rolls on, West Ham United stars will yet again have the opportunity to play key roles in their nations’ international competitions.
Declan Rice (England), Andriy Yarmolenko (Ukraine), Albian Ajeti (Switzerland), Lukasz Fabianski (Poland) and Robert Snodgrass (Scotland) are away. On-loan Josh Cullen (Republic of Ireland) and Sead Haksabanovic (Montenegro) will also represent their countries in the 2020 European Championships Qualifiers.
Fabian Balbuena (Paraguay) and Manuel Lanzini (Argentina) will have the chance to shine and cement their starting places for their respective countries by appearing in friendlies.
There have also been several youth academy players called up, including the likes of Ajibola Alese (England U19), summer recruit Goncalo Cardoso (Portugal U20’s), Harrison Ashby (Scotland U21’s) as well as loanees Grady Diangana and Nathan Trott – both England U21’s.
There’s no doubt that the Hammers have a lot of quality with Felipe Anderson (Brazil), Issa Diop and Sebastien Haller (both France) potentially being called up very soon too.
So in this slideshow, we’ll be taking a look at who can potentially make the biggest impact in the upcoming week.
