West Ham United Under-23s started their phenomenal start to life under Dmitri Halajko on Wednesday night in Newport.
The young Hammers found themselves 4-1 down at half-time, despite going ahead in the first minute but showed unbelievable fight to come back and win 5-4 in the Leasing.com Trophy.
It comes a week after the first team triumphed 2-0 at Rodney Parade in the Carabao Cup, but this result will surely be the more memorable affair.

West Ham’s U23s side have now played 12 games under Halajko and haven’t lost a single one of them.
The Irons have won three of their opening four Premier League 2 Second Division games, most recently drawing against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
It seems like a very special group of players are currently rising through the ranks and we should certainly keep on eye on how their campaign develops.
