With Michail Antonio expected to miss several weeks following his hamstring injury sustained on Tuesday night, some West Ham United fans have pinpointed Andriy Yarmolenko as the man to take his place.
Antonio was sent through on goal just seven minutes into the 2-0 win at Newport County before dramatically falling to the ground, immediately gesturing to the bench he had to come off.
Yarmolenko has had a hit-and-miss life at West Ham so far, and while some are wanting him to come in and impress, others aren’t too confident of his chances:

READ WEST HAM’S VERDICT
I think you could genuinely count the Premier League starts Yarmolenko has made with one hand, so whilst that emphasises his struggles in England so far, fans must give him a chance.
If he can get a run of starts now in Antonio’s absence, we’ll catch a glimpse of what he’s really capable of.
As one of the more experienced members of Manuel Pellegrini’s squad, you’d expect Yarmolenko can step up and do a job whilst the charismatic forward is sidelined. I wouldn’t put it down as the last chance saloon though…
