West Ham now face an away trip at Brighton to get their season back on track after a drubbing by Manchester City.
The Seagulls sauntered into the new season with a 3-0 demolition of Watford, who looked to be enduring a hangover from last season. Graham Potter, formerly of Swansea City, made the move to the south coast after Brighton chose to dismiss Chris Hughton.
