Tomorrow is the day our season kicks off and inevitably, as it has been for the past six seasons, West Ham face top-six opposition.
Not only were they top six, they were champions, winning four domestic trophies, the first time an English side has done this. Manchester City are a formidable side with superstars starting, and in reserve.
The champions have added quality to their side this transfer window with Rodri and Cancelo occupying the right-back and holding midfield role. Pep has the luxury of adding the best quality he can find to maintain his aggressive and unique playing style.
West Ham, however, won’t be coming to back down when they kick off tomorrow at 12:30pm. Pellegrini has added intelligently to his side and sought out cover in every starting XI position.
Our attacking talent, although not at the level of Manchester City’s, can cause them serious issues. We have a real strong chance of causing an upset tomorrow.
To do this, West Ham need to win the key battles and hope Guardiola’s men will not be able to adapt to West Ham’s new signings.
