With West Ham United closing in on the £8million signing of Basel striker Albian Ajeti, making him the club’s sixth summer signing, it’s time to take a look at who the 22-year-old is.
According to Sky Sports News, the deal to bring Ajeti to the London Stadium is nearing completion with the transfer deadline just over 24 hours away, and there’s a reason fans should be as excited as Sebastien Haller’s arrival.
The striker, also linked with Championship duo Brentford and West Bromwich Albion this summer, is said to be ready to move to the Premier League and contract negotiations shouldn’t be a problem.

In Ajeti, I believe West Ham are getting a player hungry to prove himself at the highest level with the ability to cause real damage to Premier League defences.
From what I’ve seen, his strongest traits are his pace and ability in dangerous areas which bodes well for those hoping he will be able to play off Haller.
The Hammers are securing an international star whose goalscoring record speaks for itself, and I for one am really looking forward to the impact he’s going to make in English football.
So, who is Albian Ajeti?
